The Greatest Kid in the World

Written by John David Anderson

I am a fan of Ms. Bixby’s Last Day, another book by this author, so I was excited to read this book and was not disappointed. I love this book for its humor and relatability, for its ability to be funny, yet serious. One of the lessons I enjoyed is although the main character wasn’t the greatest kid in the world in the end, he realized he only wanted to be the greatest he could be in his own family’s world. Deep down, and sometimes we don’t have to even dig that far, we all have greatness in us. We just have to be around the right people for it to be noticed. I think this feel good book hits just right for kiddos needing that validation. We are all great in someone’s life.
