No wonder this illustrator won the Coretta Scott King New Talent Illustrator Award! The art is captivating and beautiful. I wanted to listen to the song that the words came from after reading this book and I’m glad I did. Kids will enjoy the art and words as they paint a story of a little girl who connects with her past by learning to fly. Good for story time or for kids checking out to examine the art more carefully.
