Alex’s Field Guides: Have You Seen an Elephant? by Elina Ellis is fun and adorable. Alex is an explorer and she loves elephants. She goes out on an expedition to find a real elephant. As she comes across various animals, she asks, “have you seen an elephant?” On each page the reader will enjoy seeing the elephants that Alex misses in her search. Interspersed with the searching pages are entries from her Elephant Journal that give cool and interesting facts about elephants. The last page adds to the creativity and humor of the book and makes it a great read aloud. I would highly recommend this book!
