My Antarctica

Written by G. Neri, Illustrated by Corban Wilkin

This book is AWESOME! Author G. Neri always dreamed of going to Antarctica. He won the Artists and Writers Grant from the National Science Foundation and went to Antarctica to write about it. He shares his journey in words and photographs, and Corban Wilkin adds some illustrations. You learn about mummified seals, dinosaur fossils, early explorers, and all about how people live and work at McMurdo Station. It does have 92 pages, but there are tons of cool pictures. And it keeps you reading. A very fun learning experience. I would recommend for grades 2-5.
