Written and Illustrated by Allen Say
This is a great picture book about a boy who lives in Japan and saves a baby sparrow from bullies. It is based on a true story from the author’s life, and is a beautiful story about saving and setting free. All told in beautiful illustrations of pencil, dip pen, and watercolor. And Allen Say’s writing style is also beautiful.
