An entertaining and informative book about Viola Smith. Kids (specifically girls) interested in music, band, or the drums would enjoy this true story about a girl who started out in her all-girl family band to making a career and blazing the way for other females in this part of the music industry. The illustrations had a retro feel which I thought was true to the vibe of this story.
