Spider in the Well follows the hero newsboy as he tries to help the townspeople- it was hilarious! There was a clever, twisty, and slightly dark plotline. It reads like a classic fairy tale, but with some modern cheekiness. The illustrations are bold, expressive, and stylish, with funny details that will make re-reading a must. It’s the perfect picture-book length for a class read aloud. My kids, especially my teens, thought it was clever and aesthetically very cool.
