The Black Book of Colors

Written by Manena Cottin, Illustrated by Rosana Faria

For those not blind, understanding how sight, touch, sound, and feel come into play when experiencing colors and objects for blind people can be hard. In this text, raised black pictures and description allow readers to experience what colors are like through touch. Beautifully done, the experience of touching the pictures and braille text is engaging and enlightening. The text is simple, but well written, and helps to bring the black pictures to life. Readers interested in braille, different experiences, and nonfiction books will want to pick this one up. Recommended for most library collections.
