The Digger and the Dark

Written and Illustrated by Joseph Kuefler

What if parents were construction vehicles and kids were raccoons? This latest Digger adventure book includes some darling friends: two mischievous raccoons who won’t let Digger and his friends get a moment of sleep. Each page shows these naughty little guys enticing their new friends to join them in another adventure. I loved the cute raccoons, how accommodating the diggers were to them, and especially how the raccoons helped the diggers finally go to sleep.
Maybe your child is heading to school and needs a full night of sleep to do their best, or dad need his rest because he goes to work early. This story offers a chance to explain that everyone needs sleep to be at their best every day. Just a fun book with real parent issue undertones and a great read for those littles who like diggers and animal hijinks. The soft and dark tones in the illustrations add the perfect touch for a soothing bedtime tale.
