Ultimately this is a story about friendship told from two points of view. Dani and Eric have been best friends since 2nd grade, but one summer right before school starts, that friendship is challenged by a terrible accident. Their story highlights how complicated friendships can be and how challenging good intentions, misunderstandings, and growing up can be. In the end it is also a story about forgiveness and not changing who you are for someone else.
