Born Naughty: My Childhood in China

Written by Jin Wang and Tony Johnston, Illustrated by Anisi Baigude

What a window of a book for young students in America to read. Jin’s description of her childhood in Mongolia is captivating and enjoyable. I think young readers will enjoy the trouble she gets into. The images throughout the book make it even more accessible to early readers. This could be a good read aloud to help spark students’ interest in other countries and their cultures. If you have a curious reader who likes to learn about new things, I would recommend this one. It’s a quick, easy, and fun read!
