Impossible Creatures is a beautifully crafted story where reality and fantasy collide. Rundell’s world of fantastic creatures is captivating. Students with interest in fantasy and/or adventure would love diving into the archipelago and the magic found there.
I would recommend this book because of it’s fast moving adventure as well as the incorporation of so many fantastic characters and creatures. The mixture of mystery, danger, and magic would appeal to a wide audience of students especially as they follow along with the two main characters, a young boy and girl, with whom they can relate.
