Pizza and Taco are two friends that have many adventures. In installment six, Pizza scares Taco wearing his ghost pepper costume. Taco scares a bit easier than Pizza and after the initial scare, they dare to scare each other. The running gag is one likes dressing up as a “ghost pepper” and scaring the other.
Children love stories when the main characters are food. This particular one in the series would be good for promoting this fall when students often look for books of this nature. This story does not refer to Halloween which makes it safe for students who do not celebrate. It is definitely more silly than scary. This will be the first “Pizza and Taco” book to be added to my school library. I am sure there will be many more additions to come.
