Rover and Speck: It’s a Gas!

Written and Illustrated by Jonathan Roth

I would recommend this book to people who like graphic novels with space facts. I’m one of those people and that’s why I love this book. This book’s characters, Rover and Speck, are so cute. I love Speck’s personality so much. Rover has a nice but serious personality. Then Speck is more funny but also nice. I love this book so much because there are many good facts about space. Rover and Speck are in space and they’re trying to discover life. On their way, they discover lots of different things. They discover a planet that is composed of nothing but gas and a cloud layer. They go into a big, scary gas storm. Speck is nervous, but Rover is more interested. Then Speck notices gas glowing sharks shooting out sparks. Rover sees them and says, “You found life, Speck!” But then a shark shoots Rover, and he is about to fall into a cloud, and Speck sees him and grabs him. When he wakes up, they are surrounded by jellyfish! All the fish leave except one named Jeli. Rover and Speck tell her to travel with them, she says “ok!” and they go into the cloud. Rover, Speck, and Jeli have many more adventures, but you’ll have to read the book to find out. I really liked this book, and I would recommend it.
