How Our 32nd First Lady Used Her Voice to Fight for Human Rights
Written by Michelle Markel, Illustrated by Alejandro Mesa
Eleanor Roosevelt was an amazing woman. I enjoyed reading her backstory of how she was so shy when she was a young orphan and had many fears. She had letters from her father which helped her to face her fears and have the courage to speak up. She began speaking up and out in bigger ways and when her husband became the President of the United States she worked with leaders of different groups helping them to stand up and fight for their rights. Eleanor accomplished so much in her lifetime and I feel that this book did a good job of touching on every part of her impactful life.
