Aww, I like this second book just as much as the first in the series. Monti and Leo are best friends and they are eager to see a new exhibit at the library. It is Mrs. Sheep’s collection of figurines. Monti is enthralled with it, especially the figurine sitting on the pedestal. Well, lo and behold, this special figurine disappears and Mrs. Sheep accuses Monti of stealing it. As others join in with accusations, in steps best friend, Leo, to find out how the lost figurine disappeared. This story has a great ending with a good message for children and grown-ups too.
I really like when Leo has a moment of wondering if the accusations against Monti are right. He then comes to a realization that he needs to think for himself, and not let others’ words and prejudices form opinions for him. Admitting to be wrong and apologies are given by all. I am excited to add this to our library collection.
