The Last Bookstore on Earth

Written by Lily Braun-Arnold

I enjoyed this book. It’s one of many dystopian “last on Earth” novels available, but it has a different feel to it than many others I’ve read. It feels cozy. I’m not sure if cozy dystopian is a thing. The romance that blossoms between the two main characters is honest and light. However, the main theme is focused on friendship in a troubled world. There is quite a build up to the climactic scenes, but the world is believable and the characters are relatable. The book fits in well with other sci-fi or cozy books, or if a person is creating an LGBTQIA section or would like to highlight such works.
