The Old Willis Place

A Ghost Story Graphic Novel

Written by Mary Downing Hahn, Adapted by Scott Peterson, Illustrated by Meredith Laxton and Sienna Haralson

This book is a retelling of The Old Willis Place story in graphic novel form. It is an intriguing story about a brother and sister living on the property of an old manor. A new caretaker and his daughter move in. The daughter keeps having strange things happen to her and knows that someone is always watching. Soon she meets the brother and sister and a friendship develops. They have to discover the goings on in the scary mansion and find out the sad tale of the old lady that died in the manor. It is well written, an easy and entertaining story to read. The illustrations are excellent, spooky, and thrilling. This will make a great addition to our spooky section in our elementary library.
