Why haven’t I seen Ruffles before? Apparently there are five other books in this series. I will be looking to purchase more of these for our library. I think our younger students will love them.
In Ruffles and the Bouncy, Bouncy Ball, we learn that Ruffles loves howling, scratching, eating, and fetching. He also loves his ball, but it has gone missing. He looks in his bowl, between the books, under his basket, etc. Ruffles looks in all the fun places at the park too! No luck. Cute Ruby, a dog friend, tries to cheer up Ruffles by inviting him to play in the squishy, squashy, muddy place with her. They pat, and splat, jump and roll together. The illustrations are so fun. Cute, cute dogs playing and rolling. The characters are very expressive. The language is lilting and poetic.
I really liked this book. I recommend it highly.
