This beautifully illustrated picture book parallels a humpback whale mother and calf to a human mother and child. Whales and humans are alike. They stay close to family, breathe air, and like to explore. It has little text and big blue images. This would be a delightful read loud for kindergarten or first grade littles as they learn about relationship skills or interspecies comparisons.
