How Saharan Plumes Feed the Planet
Written by Martha Brockenbrough, Illustrated by Juana Martinez-Neal
Who would have thought that a book about Dust would be so intriguing? It is a stunningly illustrated informational book about the Saharan Plumes. We learn that these dust plumes actually connect the past and the present, the driest area to one of the wettest, and living things all over the world. The gold tones of the illustrations really capture the beauty of the dust plumes and contrasts them with other features of the world.
This book gave me the same “aww moment” after reading the book Whale Fall. It has given me an appreciation for our phenomenal world and how we are connected with it all. Highly recommend as a first buy.
