Unshakable Eleanor

How our 32nd First Lady Used Her Voice to Fight for Human Rights

Written by Michelle Markel, Illustrated by Alejandro Mesa

Eleanor Roosevelt was a remarkable lady! I think this book did a good job of highlighting her many accomplishments, especially those of ensuring others had a voice when it came to equality in all things. From a shy, withdrawn girl to the wife of a famous political figure, Eleanor overcame so much to be a voice for Americans everywhere. I thought the book had a lot of great information, but didn’t flow easily in some parts. The illustrations are great and eye-catching.
