Viva Frida is a beautiful and colorful picture book about the Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. The pages and phrases are limited in verbage, but are expressive in color, and the theory that less is more is used. She expresses that because she sees, understands and believes, that she lives. It is lovely.

I feel like the simplicity of the words allow the reader to truly focus on the incredible illustrations, and will encourage younger students to want to learn more about Frida (yay!). Great review.
