The children will love this story. The pictures and the words create such a charmingly believable tale. The author/illustrator, Ed Rodriguez, has created a colorful story that incorporates many of the traditions of Puerto Rico in dress, foods, houses, and more. Even the moon takes on a personality! Once you finish the story, the reader wants to study the pictures that bring such a richness and visual re-telling of the story. Awesome!
