Written by Susan Waggoner
Setting
The setting is in the future London. Far-future, about 2218. Conflicts, is that it is so far into the future that it is not like what Zee was used to.
Characters
Zee, who was the main character, left everything in her normal life to follow her boyfriend David to a place she has never been. It is a one way trip. Once she leaves there is no way for her to turn back. Then there is David, the boyfriend. David and Zee go to this new earth, but after a while on this new earth, David leaves on another mission to Pompeii, leaving Zee behind with David’s parents who do not really like her.
Good Points
Susan Waggoner made this book really fast-paced and very easy to read. She explained the way people lived their lives in the new earth with great details. Another thing that I liked about this book was how the author showed Zee having to meet new people on the new earth.
Bad Points
Something that I did not like about this book was that it was a little short. If the author had stretched the story out a little it would have been an amazing story. It felt that all of the information was squished together.
Plot Summary
In Starlight’s Edge, written by Susan Waggoner, an event that happened throughout the book was the journey to the “New Earth.” This was where Zee (the main character) left everything that she had just to be with her boyfriend David. The interesting about this, is that Zee knew that she would never be able to return to her normal life after she went to the new earth. It was a one way trip. Another event in this book was when Zee was on the new earth with David, and David decides to leave there to go to another mission to Pompeii.
Ending
The one thing that I gained from this book, is that it takes the right author and the right story plot to get a person to like this type of book. I was not really a fan of books in the future, but after this one, I started liking futuristic books more.
