Written by Judith Rose
The story of Jacinta, a young girl without a lot of money living in a small house with her family. She wants so much to fit in, be good at something and experience new things. She is paired up with a famous news reporter as her mentor. As she starts to spend time with her mentor we see the world change through Jacinta’s eyes. We also see Jacinta deal with the anger, fear, and confusion of being the American-born daughter of undocumented Mexican immigrants. A simple realistic book we can all learn a little from.
