Violet is a girl who lives with her father and mother somewhere in the galaxy. That can be dangerous at times. Violet’s father goes missing and Violet decides to go find him. On her way, she finds some friends who are willing to “help.” Violet seems to find obstacles, but she never gives up, and her friends stick by her. I think many students would enjoy this book because it has a science fiction feel to it and the pictures are outrageous. Some reluctant readers may be discouraged with the number of pages.
