LEGO models and minifigures humorously report facts and engage kids in learning about real-world topics. The humor is very well done so that it will appeal to kids on many grade levels and it does not detract from the educational aspects of the book. While there are no LEGO building instructions in the book there are several building challenges such as, “Can you build a moon lander?” This series is good for students who are reluctant to read nonfiction, or LEGO fans. There may not be enough substance for students who are really interested in a subject or working on a report. The combination of high interest subjects, the LEGO name, and humor will have these checked out all year long.
