Two Friends: Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass

two-friends-susan-b-anthony-and-frederick-douglassWritten by Dean Robbins, Illustrated by Sean Qualls and Selina Alko

Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass met in the mid-1800s and became friends, fighting for a common cause – equal rights; rights for African Americans and rights for women. The two friends met at Susan’s house once for tea, and the book is an imagining of what they may have talked about. It also shares a brief history of each person and what they desired and believed.

Beautiful illustrations and the historical information provided make this book a must read.
