This is a great historical fiction series that is sure to enrapture readers. The action and peril are mixed into a well-paced story with new challenges and adventures around every corner. This will appeal to fans of Rae Carson, Historical Fiction, and Western Adventure. While the content is suitable for grades six or seven and up, the complex plot and characters will be best for grades 8 – 12.
