I was drawn to this book by its cover, thinking it looked like a fun sci-fi sort of story for kids, and it really is! Along with suspense, intrigue, and interesting science, there is plenty of humor to really keep the story moving. Project Terra is about a girl named Elara Adele Vaughn who is attending an intergalactic Terraforming school. She just wants to learn and help people, but she has a penchant for getting into trouble – the war-starting, world-destroying kind. With the help of her friends, however, Elara is able to save the Seven Systems and learn quite a bit about herself and the people around her while she’s at it.
Project Terra Bites Back is actually the second book in the series, but it is not necessary to read the first book in order to enjoy this one.
