Great book based on a Buddhist story of healing. Addy loses her kitten in an accident and finds healing through acceptance as her friend Stillwater the Giant Panda helps her to realize that grief is shared by everyone and is a part of life.
I read this book to a 5th grade class and it brought up a great discussion on losing a pet or someone they loved. Many of them had heard different versions of this story and loved sharing their own stories of loss.
