Written and Illustrated by Salvatore Rubbino
With the Royal Wedding fresh in everyone’s mind, this walk around London with it’s explanations of all the popular sights is a must-read. I love the maps and the home-spun feel of this tourist walking tour. I can now watch the recordings of the wedding and feel like I’m there and a part of everything. The “pictured” index in back helps us find just which area (and page) each sight is on. I like the small print explanations of each sight as well. The illustrations are simple, large and colorful, giving the book a fun “”tourist pamphlet”” feel.

Sorry, it’s kind of lame that I didn’t post this review earlier in the year, since the royal wedding is now history, but even without that this book may still be interesting.
I’d like to read it!
That would be nice to read and see things that we might go see some day.
I think it would be fun to have the students pick a place they would like to visit or have visited and read a book on that place. In my Early non-fiction section, I do not have many books about different places. This could be their first exposure to Britian.
I think it would be a great addition to our library.
