The Super Side Kicks just want to be recognized as super heroes instead of sidekicks. So, when the invitation comes to join the coolest super club on earth, how can they resist? However, to join they must first pass the Trial of Heroes, and receive a hero stone. Can these sidekick blunderers do it? Can they finally be realized as part of the team? Read the book and find out.
This book kind of has a Captain Underpants feel to it. It is also a great graphic novel with bright pictures, and may actually attract a reluctant reader. In the opening of the book, one of the superheroes is a slime and so hides in the other superhero’s nose to make the bad guys think he is alone. Overall it is a really cute book. I would recommend it for ages 9-12. This is the 3rd book in the series, and I would really like to read the first two.
