This book starts off by telling you about a tradition that the King of Gerbera gets eaten every 25 years. The king is always an orphan so no one will miss him and he does not know he will die. But the king mysteriously dies, so now they have to find a new king. They call a person with magic, and when she uses it something weird happens and it picks a little boy who knows how the king dies from the dragon.
The book is awesome and so fascinating and if you like fantasy books and books that have magic and dragons I think this book will be for you. The book is dark and it is cute as well and I felt like I was in the story and the characters felt real to me, so I recommend this book and I would reread it again!!
