As a portal into a future world, holographic messages from the other side start coming through saying that the people of Earth have to go through the one-way portal before Earth becomes extinct. As the stress builds up and more and more people go through the portal, anxiety starts affecting the society as a whole. Is the Earth doomed or can the government save the people from extinction?
The plot is suspenseful and builds throughout the course of the book. The characters are relatable and well-developed. A must-read for fans of science fiction, mystery, and apocalyptic fiction. Recommended for most library collections. 5 stars, Gr 7 and up
