Field Day is the best time of year! This book brings all of the joy of field day to a beginning reader with simple words and rhymes. I loved that the illustrator brought the diversity of our elementary schools to the pictures as she showed kids and teachers participating in field day from every race, culture, and ethnicity. It seems like such a simple thing, but means a lot to the kids here in our diverse elementary school. A great addition to a elementary library’s easy reader section.
