This is a cute take on the Old MacDonald song. In this picture book, Miss MacDonald has a farm, and instead of farm animals, it focuses on the plants she grows. The text is in the same rhyming pattern as the song. It’s great because it shows kids where vegetables come from, how they grow, and all of the hard work that goes in to planting, watering, tending, and harvesting. At the end there’s a big meal with lots of people. The illustrations are cute and colorful. I would recommend for grades PreK-2.
