The Wolf Effect: a Wilderness Revival Story

Written by Rosanne Parry, Illustrated by Jennifer Thermes

This nonfiction picture book written by Rosanne Parry (author of A Wolf Called Wander) is perfect for younger readers who love wildlife and the environment.

It is the story of how Gray Wolves were released and reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park in 1995. It is written in rhyming verse with beautifully illustrated spreads throughout. There have been many books written on this subject, but this one is perfect to expose young readers to the importance of this event and the positive impact wolves had on the ecosystem in Yellowstone. It is a story of hope, rebirth, and how we can make changes to improve our world around us.

This will be the perfect library read aloud to recognize the 30-year anniversary of this event on January 12, 2025.
