Zhi Ging’s arrival in this story is very mysterious. She is brought to Aapau and left to be raised in Fei Chui. She is different from everyone else and is trying to prove her worth when some out of the ordinary things happen. This book reminds me a little of Amari and the Night Brothers and other adventures like that. Fantasy readers will be intrigued by the setting and storyline. It looks like this is just the first book of more to come, so if kids like series, that’s another reason to share this with them.
