Always Anthony is the newest book from the Emmie & Friends graphic novels. Older elementary kids and middle schoolers love these cute books and I think they’ll love this one too. Anthony and Leah meet when Anthony needs an ELA tutor. They’re both really cool, interesting characters in very different ways; lots of kids will see themselves in them. They work through stressful middle school issues together like bullying, dyslexia, and crushes, without it getting too heavy. It’s refreshing to see the characters work out friendship issues in realistic but positive ways. My older elementary kids are always looking for fun books about junior high drama, so I’ll definitely be recommending this one.
