The Story of a Small Loan and a Big Dream
Written by Katie Smith Milway and Mary Beth Leatherdale, Illustrated by Tequitia Andrews
I love this book. It is about a boy who saves money by raising chickens. He starts with a small goal and one day owns a chicken farm. He fights hard for his education and family that came from very little money. It is a true story and it has a insert in the back from the real Kojo. This book is very detailed in all of the steps he had to take to pay for school and get a loan from the bank and pay it back. At the end he is able to give other dreamers a loan. Very inspiring.
