Since I already love the rest of this series, loving this book is no surprise. Bat is on the autism spectrum which explains some of his difficulties in this story. For example, Bat really wants something and works really hard to get it, but there are some people that are keeping his wishes from coming true. I love the way he is portrayed. His parents and other adults in this story are good examples of how all children can be treated no matter the challenges they are dealing with. I love the way that Bat works through his disappointments. I can learn a lot from him. We all can.
