Written and Illustrated by Kelly Collier
Steve is a self absorbed horse who thinks he’s pretty talented. He’s won the race-a-thon every year. But this year the race is a relay and he is partnered up with turtle, duck, and snail. He decides to play coach for his team. Horse learns he needs to do more than coach, he needs to run his leg of the relay as well to win the race. This is the 3rd “Steve” book and the students in the library love it for the funny pictures, silly Steve, and how quick it is to read. This is a perfect lower grade graphic novel, quick and fun.
