This is a fun mystery story full of adventure, monsters, family, and friendship. Elvira, half siren and half human, is dealing with living in both worlds. There are a couple of crimes that are committed and she is determined to solve them to save her family business and to save monsters that live in her trailer park. Elvira is a confident character who doesn’t give up easily and she is certain that she can solve the crimes, with her human and chupacabra friends, before the detective can solve it for them. Every chapter is filled with new clues and new adventures. This is a fun paranormal fiction book that the older kids in my library will enjoy.
