Once again Megan McDonald has written a charming book about friendship, imagination, and childhood adventure. Sophie wants more than anything to have a unicorn show up for her unicorn birthday. She has her friend Stink help her set up carrots to try to lure one to her party. The adventure begins when later they see a flash of pink and begin chasing their supposed unicorn all through the town. The illustarions are vibrant and colorful and they add to the delightfulness of the story. This is another great book to add to our elementary libary.
