This is a delightful, fun summer read. What child wouldn’t want a bully called “Shadow Eater” to fail? Fernie and Gustav face their fears and battle the “shadow eater” while encountering strange new rooms all over Gustav’s house. The ending is a little sad, but there will be a sequel and I’m sure we will find out everything turns out okay. Alas, at the end of book 2, Gustav’s parent’s still need to be rescued. Try reading this, I’m sure you’ll like it!
