Paul the fish swims in circles in his bowl every day, sometimes big circles, sometimes little circles. Sometimes he swims to the left first and other times he swims to the right. He may start at the top of his bowl and go to the bottom or start at the bottom and go to the top. Then Bernadette drops in and suddenly the world is much bigger than he ever dreamed possible. The wonders he beholds through her eyes makes his life so much richer and happier, and she is the best thing that ever happened to him. I loved this sweet, lovely story of caring enough to make someone else happy and how wonder and imagination can make the world a beautiful place. The illustrations are warm and as beautiful as the story.
