This is the first of the 39 Clues books that I have read, and in spite of that I thought it was great. There was enough info here that I didn’t need the background from the other books. It has a little flavor of the Montagues and Capulets as the Cahills and Vespers (two powerful families) fight for power. They have clues to decipher, adventures, treachery and definitely more to come.
