Written by Amy Hest, Illustrated by Helen Oxenbury
Henry is a little boy with a new puppy. His grandfather writes that he is coming to visit. Henry is excited but knows that his grandfather has never had a puppy for a friend. A huge blizzard hits just before Henry’s grandfather arrives. When Grandfather’s hat blows away the new puppy rescues it and weaves his way into Grandfather’s heart. Even if you are not a dog person, you will enjoy this story. It’s a soft, gentle read that classes will love hearing. I am happy to recommend it!
